Give every room in your home or office its own unique color scheme & ambiance using these Aurora Smart Modular Lighting Panels. Each kit comes with Nine LED panels that you can mount onto the wall or ceiling in any shape you wish to create visually stimulating designs.

These AWESOME modular tiles probably will not replace traditional lamps or ceiling bulbs, but the customizable LED lights provide visually impressive colorful accent lighting. Nanoleaf, the fledgling company behind the world’s only dodecahedron-shaped lightbulb has launched Aurora, a do-it-yourself kit consisting of Nine triangular LED panels that are applied in any desired configuration simply with mounting tape.

Nanoleaf’s Aurora smart lighting system includes nine panels, nine linkers, the HomeKit-compatible controller, 28 3M mounting strips, and the power supply. Nanoleaf Aurora lighting system is modular so you can create a variety of designs from the same nine tiles, or add additional tiles to create more complex layouts. Each lighting panel can connect to up to 3 more lighting panels with 1 linker connecting 2 tiles. Aurora intelligently detects what layout you have created, then maps it on Nanoleaf’s companion app where you can set color flows, brightness, speed, & more.

Because the Aurora system is a smart product, all of these functions and settings can also be controlled via mobile app (both iOS and Android) or voice (using Siri on Apple products). The company is in the process of developing compatibility with Amazon Alexa, IFTTT (If This Then That) and DMX Wireless for professional and commercial applications.

For example, you could have a scene called Movie Night that turns off the ceiling light and sets the Aurora lights to deep blue at 10% brightness; just tell Siri to ‘set Movie Night scene’ & your connected accessories automatically jump to the right mode.

Apple’s Home app does not support multicolor waves from the built-in color picker, only solid colors, so you will want to spend more time in Nanoleaf’s app at first to discover different color effects. HomeKit makes changing the brightness, toggling the lights on and off, & setting solid colors very convenient. You can also turn color effects you discover or create in Nanoleaf’s app into scenes in Apple’s Home app. This is where HomeKit support’s potential is really unlocked. You can use Siri to change between dramatically different color effects, or pick a few favorites to access from Control Center. You can also automate specific color effects using Apple’s Home app. For instance, you can have Aurora display a vibrant sunrise color effect at 7 am each morning or even based on the actual sunrise time where you live. Simply using Siri to turn Aurora on, change the color effect and brightness, and turn Aurora off makes HomeKit support super valuable.
