We recommend this weight more so due to the size of animal, it can still support 7 kilos (15.43 lbs) like the original from a stitching, strength basis. It's just once you get over 3.5 kilos or (7 to 8 lbs) you tend to get into longer bodied animals. Reasons You Might Prefer This Small Pocket Version We are doing a limited run of smaller pockets to test the market. These are perfect for any really small animal like rats, hamsters, gerbils, chinchillas, sugar gliders etc and even teacup dogs and the smaller of the toy breed dogs like many chihuahuas, yorkies, and morkies. During testing we even fit a 6 kilo / 13 lbs yorkshire, although not ideal. Basically any toy breed that is not long bodied. We suggest avoiding this one if intended use is with a cat, unless it's a kitten.
