This "stuff", i mean this Ladder Stabilizer works on any kind of surface, including grass, pavement, rocks, tile, hardwood flooring, and even on ice. How it works ??? depending on what type of surface you are on, you can use spikes that will hold the Ladder Lockdown securely in place using spikes. Otherwise, the device uses non-slip rubber grips for use on surfaces like hardwood floors and tiles ........ Once you have got the Ladder Lockdown securely set in place, put your ladder on top of it with the legs flush with the front side of the tray, clip one end of the included strap to the tray, then run the strap through the third rung of the ladder, and clip the other end of the strap back onto the Ladder Lockdown tray. Once the strap is pulled tight and is snug in place, you are good to go and use your ladder with full safety in mind.
