The Hover-1 Cruze, An Electric Skateboard That You Can Control Entirely With Your Feet. This thing, i mean The Hover-1 Cruze is The world’s first patented skateboard with power-assist technology, it's means ...... this stuff is an electric skateboard with a 150W motor you control entirely with your feet. The creator came up with his push-n-press footpad idea while cruising on an electric skateboard with a handheld remote control. It worked, but it also jerked. Speeding up / slowing down were not smooth transitions. He moved the controller mechanism to his foot, the most connected part of his body to his board, hoping to fix the problem.

The Hover-1 Cruze footpad consists of a dotted grid of sensors that allow riders to push or press to engage the motor and change speed. The skateboard can hit up to 11MPH, and has a range of up to 9 miles per charge.

The Cruze has no remote control. Instead, you control the Cruze by stepping on a sensor on the back end of the board. There are 3 speed options (or "gears") of roughly 3.7, 7.5, and 11.2 miles per hour, depending on your weight. To accelerate from one gear to the next, you have to lift and lower your foot onto the sensor. If you have done that correctly, you should hear two beeps .......................... The board has two riding "modes", which are easily toggled by a button at the bottom. "Cruising mode" is like cruise control in your car: When you accelerate the board, it'll stay at that speed until you stop it manually (with your feet, the way you would a non-electric skateboard). In "braking mode," which is more difficult to master, lifting your foot from the sensor will cause the board to gradually decelerate. The board is in "cruising mode" by default, and a button on the bottom toggles between them.

By the way ............. you can use it with the old-fashioned way ..... in other words ....... you can push your "personal and unique vehicle" like a standard skateboard, if the battery dies before you are finished riding ........ The Hover-1 Cruze has a charge time of 2 hours. Max weight capacity is 198 pounds.
